Frank Moyo Gets Raw On Powerful New Single "Friend of Mine"

Italo-Canadian singer-songwriter Frank Moyo has returned in 2020 with a smoldering new glow.

Last week, Moyo released his latest single “Friend of Mine,” a raw and honest track that speaks to the darkest parts of the soul by exploring loneliness, personal growth, and the power of human connection.

“‘Friend of Mine’ was inspired by how I was feeling throughout the month of November, where the weather was getting colder and colder,” Moyo explains. “I had been living on my own for a while and a sense of unwanted solitude kind of kept reoccurring in my mind. I wrote the song primarily about living on my own and the ups and downs that come along with that. Also having found a friend in an unlikely circumstance and being able to talk to them and really connect with someone sparked many of the lyrics in the song.”

Produced by Devon Lougheed and featuring Seb Romanutti on keys and Kim Garzon on violin, “Friend of Mine,” with its soaring, full-bodied melodies, represents a shift for Moyo from an acoustic sound to a full band direction. Listen below.
