Gavin Turek’s “Elevator” is Going to Be on Every Summer Playlist

Gavin Turek is a music empress, taking control of any genre that is thrown at her. Through her various singles, EPs, and music videos, the L.A. native has made a name for herself as a pop/R&B/soul powerhouse.

Released on Friday, March 15, Turek’s latest single, “Elevator” is a soulful pop track dressed in baby pink satin and bright red tulle, showing its sweet, funky, and sultry side. The song is the lead single off of Turek’s debut album, which is set to drop this summer.

Produced by Chris Hartz (Childish Gambino, M83) and co-written by Turek, Hartz, and UK synth-pop artist Shura, “Elevator” feels like a blast from the past. Her soulful vocals and the ‘80s-inspired rhythm has listeners in a seductive trance.

With this song and its music video (directed by Turek’s sister and creative director Hana Ardelean), Turek gives listeners a peek into her creative world. “Elevator” is just a taste of what’s to come.
