Whoa Dakota Shares New Poignant Single "We Create"

Singer-songwriter Whoa Dakota will win you over with her clear, sparkling vocals and introspective lyrics.

Today the Little Rock native shares her stunning and poignant single "We Create." Jazzy, buoyant, and brimming with vibrant piano melodies, the pop track is not only an ode to the need to occasionally unplug ourselves from the traumatic news cycle and the negative effect it has on us, but it is also a reminder not to get too comfortable in our escape. "This song was an attempt at reconciling the simultaneous dichotomy of my personal joy with a world in ruin," she said. "At a time when so much suffering was going on around me, I was in the midst of this really beautiful thing. It’s an expression of the sadness, the joy, and the guilt all at the same time."  

The song's title even serves as a personal mantra for the artist as she develops the life that she has chosen for herself, the life that she has chosen to live intentionally.

Whoa Dakota has accumulated more than 95k streams on Spotify, garnering play on tastemaker playlists as well as Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist. "We Create" is the second single to be released from her upcoming debut LP Patterns, which is set to drop this summer.
