Sam Fischer Releases Soulful New Single "Same Friends"

Australian-born singer, songwriter, violinist, and saxophonist Sam Fischer has released a soulful and relatable new single that channels the classic Motown sound.

Super smooth yet honest and real with a hip-hop vibe, "Same Friends" was produced by Grammy-winning producer Warren "Oak" Felder and discusses the challenges of sharing the same friends with an ex. "It's so hard to move on from someone when you're constantly reminded of them because of the same friends you share," Fischer said. "It's awkward trying to navigate those friendships in the aftermath of a breakup - you really see who has your back and who absolutely does not."

The track follows the success of his 2016 debut single "Lean," which has garnered more than 300,000 streams. Watch the official music video below.

Fischer, who began writing songs when he was 12 years old and is now based in Los Angeles, has co-written for the likes of DJ Mustard, Clean Bandit, Sabrina Claudio, and Jennifer Hudson.  He is currently preparing his debut EP, which is scheduled to drop next year.
