Rising Artist Spotlight: Lorenzo Fragola

With a last name that translates to "strawberry," Lorenzo Fragola isn't anything but sweet and refreshing as that summer fruit.

The 20-year-old Italian singer, winner of Italy's 8th season of X Factor in 2014, has that singer-songwriter essence. Not quite folk, not quite pop, he's crafted a solid, organic sound that will never go out of style.

Fragola competed at Sanremo this year with "Siamo uguali," the first single from his debut album 1995. The album features tracks in Italian and English, with the English-language songs being just as substantial and satisfying as those in Italian. It's no surprise that 1995 so quickly became a chart-topper. We hope to see many more hits from this rising star.
