Alvaro Soler never fails to deliver the most infectious worldwide hits.

The internationally recognized and fan favorite Spanish-German singer and songwriter, who was born in Spain and spent 10 years living in Japan, first rose to fame with his breakout #1 hit “El Mismo Sol” in 2015 and since then has collaborated with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Morat, Flo Rida and TINI.

Fresh off the release of his sophomore album Mar De Colores, Soler recently dropped a brand new single “Loca,” his first single of 2019. Written one year ago, he says, the track has a bright yet seductive sound, incorporating the refreshing textures of brass instruments and jazz-infused electronic beats. “‘Loca’ represents to me a fun energetic, summer single,” he told Musical Notes Global. “It was an opportunity to go back to my hometown, and revive all those moments in my teenage years. The video was filmed in my hometown ‘Tokio’.”

Indeed the music video is full of colorful energy and overflows with the vibrancy of city life, taking viewers on a journey through Japan’s capitol city. Soler said his favorite memory from making the video “was recording in the spur of the moment. We did a lot of natural shots and they came out amazing.”

Soler is currently preparing to kick off his Mar De Colores European tour, which will include dates in Spain, Italy, and France, among others.
