Icelandic dream-pop trio VÖK are being praised as the next big thing to hit the music scene.

Fresh off a successful series of live show dates, the group—comprising Margrét Rán, Andri Már, and Einar Stef—is getting ready to release their sophomore album In The Dark, which is set to drop March 1, 2019. The album has already produced two singles, “Night & Day” and “Autopilot,” which, combined, accumulated over 1 million streams across platforms over the course of just a few weeks.

“Spend the Love” follows those two singles as the third to be released from In The Dark, and, while it’s total electro-pop goodness, it also addresses an important topic.

“Originally written to be a ‘gay’ anthem song, ‘Spend The Love’ is our new dance song which tackles the theme of anti-consumerism,” frontwoman Rán says. “There is a humour in it and a hypocrisy. We thought it was ideal to release it prior to the holiday season! Spend your love, not your money!”

In 2017, VÖK released their critically acclaimed debut album Figure, which recently won Album of the Year in the 2018 Icelandic Music Awards.
