Alicia Keys Just Dropped Her New Album Titled Here

Fifteen-time Grammy-winner Alicia Keys has finally dropped her long-awaited sixth studio album HERE.

Comprising 11 tracks and five interludes, the NYC-centered album is a bold commentary on today's world and is a genuine reflection of who Alicia Keys is as both an artist and a human spirit. With HERE, Keys also attempted to open up dialogue around sensitive issues that we often shy away from speaking about but nevertheless ignite something within us.

HERE is a response to the world we live in today,” says Keys. “The music on this album is a reflection of the truth I’ve found in myself and the conversations happening all around me. HERE is about exploring the good, the bad, the ugly… the shadows and the light with compassion and an open mind. I’ve come to realize that in order for us to understand and accept each other, we have to recognize the complexities in ourselves and everyone around us. We have to be willing to talk about our differences and meet each challenge with love, right HERE.”

To complement the album, Keys has created a visual short-film entitled "The Gospel," which consists of fictional vignettes depicting coming of age in NYC, confronting truths about life, and exploring our universal connectedness as humans. Watch it here.

Keys held a free concert in New York City last month, during which she performed material from the album and brought along special guests such as Nas, Jay Z, John Mayer. She is currently a coach on NBC's The Voice alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Miley Cyrus.
