Albums We Love: Na Balada (2011)-Michel Teló

We love the energy of live albums. Depending on the artist and audience, an excellent live album can transport you right to the middle of that concert as if there were thousands of fellow fans surrounding you. Na Balada is one of those albums for us.

Brazilian singer Michel Teló became a global sensation with his mega hit “Ai Se Eu Te Pego,” which is also the opening track on Na Balada.

A Latin Grammy Award-nominated album of live performances, which are amazingly crystal clear in quality, the tracks were recorded in September and October of 2011 in Brazil at Wood’s Curitiba, Wood’s São Paulo, Wood’s Balineário Camboriú, Santa Fé Hall Goiânia, and Cinema D em Ribeirão Preto.

Our Favorite Songs: “Ai Se Eu Te Pego,” “Desce do Muro,” “Coincidência,” “Pensamentos Bons”

Our Thoughts on Our Favorite Songs:

Some of you might think that “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” is overplayed, but we can’t get enough of this track that hit number one in over 15 countries. That chorus, though? So addicting.

Translating to “Nice Thoughts,” “Pensamentos Bons” discusses the good feelings that romantic love can bring, while “Desce do Muro” is flirty with a playful beat.

Looking for a song to help you wallow in your heartbreak? “Coincidência” has Teló singing to a lost love about how they should be together again.

What do you think of Na Balada? Love it just as much as we do? Let us know in the comments below!
